Clarke Creek Pump Station (Design-Build)
The Clarke Creek Pump Station project was part of a 51.2 million progressive design-build pursuit for Charlotte Water in partnership with HDR This project consisted of a multi-phase Progressive Design-Build delivery for expansion of regional wastewater and water infrastructure, including construction of a new 2.5 MGD, 50-foot-deep wastewater pump station with associated electrical building, standby power, surge control, SCADA, and site systems. Work also included installation of large-diameter force main, gravity sewer, and ductile iron waterline, along with targeted upgrades at the McDowell Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant to accommodate increased flows. The project was delivered through phased GMPs using early procurement, value engineering, and integrated design-construction coordination, resulting in completion ahead of schedule and under budget.
